Crucial M550 Overview

The 512 GB M550 Type M.2 3.5mm Solid State Drive features a 3.5 mm M.2 form factor making it simple to upgrade the storage capacity of reduced size notebooks PCs and Ultrabooks. With an enhanced sequential read speed of 550 MB/s and a sequential write speed of 500 MB/s you benefit from reduced system boot up times, a decrease in the time it takes to load applications, reduced power consumption, and more. In addition to enhanced data transfer rates, you also benefit from a 4k random read speed of 95,000 IOPS and a 4k random write speed of 85,000 IOPS.

This 3.5 mm M.2 solid state drive consumes far less power than the traditional hard disc drive helping to lengthen the battery life of your computer. Along with reduced power consumption, this drive also features an AES 256-bit encryption engine and comes compliant with Microsoft eDrive, TCG Opal 2.0 and IEEE-1667 authentication standards.

Please note that this solid state drive has a M.2 interface.
