ProMediaGear PX3 Overview

This black, Universal 3.0" Arca-Type Quick Release Plate from ProMediaGear provides the ability to adapt a camera, lens, sport optic, or an accessory to an Arca-type compatible quick release clamp.

Cameras, lenses, sport optics, or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the plate, which measures 3.0" long. The plate's 1/4"-20 mount can be placed at any one of two slots along its surface to help ensure that both the plate and the mount are arranged in a manner that does not obstruct battery doors or access ports.

While in use, two rubberized, anti-slip strips along the plate's top surface help prevent unwanted rotation of a connected device. For direct attachment to accessories such as a tripod or straps that feature 1/4"-20 mounts, the underside of the plate is tapped with three 1/4"-20 female accessory threads.

The underside also features dual retaining screws to prevent the plate from accidentally sliding off when the clamp it is placed on is opened. Two integrated loops, one on either side of the plate, provide an additional option that is both convenient and reliable, for attaching a strap.

Constructed from aluminum alloy, this Universal 3.0" Arca-Type Quick Release Plate is durable while remaining lightweight.

Hello, how much weight can the strap loops hold. I want to attach it to my Nikon 200-500 telephoto lens along with a Nikon D850. The strap I will be using is a Peak Design. Can the strap loops handle the weight ? Thank you
Asked by: Thomas
Easily, I use it on both my Pentax K1ii with a DFA150-450 and on both my Sony A9ii and A7Riv with a 600mm f4 and I also use a Peak Designs strap with the anchors.

question

Is 3inch including strap loops? Does it not block battery door of D750?
Asked by: Anonymous
The 3 inch dimension of the PX3 does not include the strap loops. And the current version has fixed strap loops, and not the removable loops as shown in the picture. This prevented me from opening the battery door on my Rebels. I'm not sure about the D750.I ended up getting the DTB-60, which has multiple screw slots that allow much more flexibility with positioning. I used them on 2 Rebels during a trip to Italy, and they worked great. The rubber padding keeps the plate from twisting, and the strap loops allow me to mount a hand strap on the right, and a neck strap on the left. I have since ordered more of these plates for my other cameras. The DTB-60 is also half the price of the PX3.

question

The description says The plate features removable strap loops that can be relocated to either side if desired. One of the strap loops block my battery door and I tried removing the screws, but the loops aren't coming off. How do I remove the strap loops?
Asked by: Paul C.
The black PX3 that I got does not have removable strap-loops; they are an integral part of the machined plate. The Pro Media Web-site shows the black PX-3 as I described; but the PX-3R, & PX-3B (Red & Blue) do have them.Apparently a typo from B&H.
