Needed a nice easy to use camera strap that wasn't to expensive for an older bridge camera. This strap fit the bill. It is easy to take on and off of the camera.

Good value

A simple, light-weight design that easily adapts to short or long lengths. Not as "sexy" as some current design studio offerings that promise the peak experience but a much better value for the price.

I have used their straps for my Cannon 5ds and loved them. Especially the option to detach most of the strap for tripod work and not have to fiddle with removing it completely. This strap has that feature as well as having a neoprene - read soft and non slip 1" wide part.

Very good for a smaller camera

Got this for my wife's small P&S, and it works quite well.

Great, even for old-school SLR

By old-school, I'm talking Nikon F here: prism finder, 50mm f/1.4 or 28mm f/3.5...likely a bit heavier than all but your top-end mirrorlless numbers. All I wanted was a comfortable, unassuming, non-logo'd strap, and for some reason that's not terribly easy to find, particularly at less-than-extortionate prices. OpTech has always made good gear, so it was nice to see them making something like this. Strap seems sturdy enough for slinging old iron around (although I'd leave the motor drive at home, just to be safe). One bonus feature is the quick-release locks near the camera lugs: you can swap out the neck strap for an optional wrist strap (also from OpTech), adding a useful carry option. Highly recommended.

Comfortable strap

A friend recommended this strap to use with a Sony RX100 VI. The openings on the camera are small, but these connectors worked perfectly and the strap is extremely comfortable. Does not disappoint.

question

I've read that this strap can only handle upto 2.5lbs (1133grams). Is there a similar strap like this that can handle something heavier? (Sony a7rii (625g) - Sony GMaster 24-70 lens (886g) - Godox tt685s (410g) Flash plus battery flash = approx 4.3lbs or 1921grams)
Asked by: Jonathan M.
The lugs on that camera do make it tuff to put a strap that can support more on it.You can use this, Ruggard Split D-Ring Twin Pack (12mm) B&H # RUSDR12MM MFR # SDR-12MM and then use a strap that can hold more like this Ruggard Lux Strap Plus with 3/8 Connector B&H # RULSP38 MFR # LSP-38.

question

Is this strap padded and comfortable? Also, will it hold a Sony a7rii (625g) using a heavy Sony Gmaster 24-70 lens (886g) and Godox tt685s (410g) Flash plus battery?
Asked by: Jonathan M.
The Mini QD Connectors on that strap can support no more than 5 lbs. We do not have that flash but you are coming very close to the limit in my opinion.I suggest adding this to the Sony camera, Ruggard Split D-Ring Twin Pack (12mm) B&H # RUSDR12MM MFR # SDR-12MM. With those you can then use a stronger camera strap. This is a strap with those rings that is stronger, Ruggard Lux Strap Plus with 3/8 Connector B&H # RULSP38 MFR # LSP-38

question

Hello. I have a Canon G7X that has a very small strap mount. Will this fit? Thanks.
Asked by: Deborah O.
It should work fine. The connectors are very small, I'm not familiar with that camera but I used it with a Sony A7.

question

I have small slr for which I think this strap would be perfect. However, I would like to have sturdier connectors since the lugs on the camera are of standard size. Is it possible to get other connectors, such as the ones on say, the Super Classic strap? If so, what do I need to buy in addition to this mirrorless strap? Thanks a lot.
Asked by: Karl H.
I think you can buy the connectors individually. Go to the OP/Tech USA site and see what is compatible. I have a Fuji X-T1 with a larger lens (10-24mm) and this strap works well.

question

What is the weight capacity of this? I have an A6300 and the heaviest lens I intend to hang on my neck is 660g.
Asked by: Nicholas
I use this strap with all three of my Nikon 1 V series cameras; this model of strap is also on some of my binoculars because it is preferable to the originals. I do not hesitate to trust it with the weight you specified. --- Randy ---
