question

Does this monitor have a waveform?
Asked by: rodney j.
No, unfortunately while this monitor does have many great features such as false color, peaking and even adjustable color temperature, it does not include waveform. In this price range, if you really want waveform, I would opt for B&H # DEDELVWFORM7, that has waveform.

question

Can't figure out whether the unit is charging the battery when plugged in. I see no indicator when unit is off or on. Can anyone verify that this will charge batteries when plugged in?
Asked by: Terry L.
The Elvid RigVision does not charge batteries even when connected to AC power. You must charge the batteries separately in their own charger.

Yes, this monitor will work with the Canon XF405. You will need to use the XF405's HDMI output at HD resolutions only though, this monitor cannot handle a 4K signal.

question

I would like to power this with a Canon 800 series battery from an XA10, would I need a special plate?
Asked by: greg
Sorry, of the battery options available for the monitor, none include the XA10 BP-8** type. This RigVision does come with plates for both the F-970 and LP-E6 batteries. Also available is a plate that takes the Panasonic CGA-DU21 and VW-VBG6 batteries. Finally, there are plates to take the big brick V-mount or Gold Mount batteries. If you have a late model Canon DSLR, I would suggest stocking up on the LP-E6 batteries as a good choice.
