The AC158A-REM Audio/Video Computer Training System (VGA/Audio) over CAT5 Remote Unit by Black Box is designed to receive VGA video and mono audio signals from one of the 8 ports of the system's broadcaster (sold separately) over an up to 360' long CAT5 cable. The system is capable of video resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200, depending on the transmission distance. Each remote unit supports the connection of a monitor-and-speakers display station as well as a CPU. The system can be configured with or without a CPU connected to each remote unit. Your configuration can be expanded to include up to 512 remote units & displays by cascading up to 72 splitters (sold separately) in 1 or 2 levels between the broadcaster and the remote units. To adjust the picture quality, use a small screwdriver to turn the picture adjuster. Two-way audio, chat, and messaging between connected PCs are supported. The Audio/Video Computer Training System is typically used in multi-screen real-time broadcast display applications and in computer classrooms.
