Black Box ServSwitch Micro with Audio USB Console

The ServSwitch Micro with Audio USB Console from Black Box enables you to switch between USB-connected computers with VGA monitors, without losing high-quality audio. It is smaller than a standard mouse, but it works like a larger ServSwitch that enables you to access two computers from a single shared monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse.

Its small form factor makes it suitable for any KVM station. You can use it under the desk to eliminate clutter on your desktop. This ServSwitch is suitable for small office/home office (SOHO) environments, as well as larger enterprises, where KVM switching is required to access multiple computers.

All connectors are embedded on a 6' cable that links the computers to a KVM console. The console side of the cable features an HD15 connector and two USB ports for your mouse and keyboard. The other side of the cable has connectors for plugging into each computer (two HD15 video connectors and two USB mouse/keyboard connectors). The ServSwitch Micro draws its power from the equipment interface, so you reduce power requirements and space. You can plug in the KVM switch to operate it without the requirement of any software configuration. It allows switching of computers with simple hotkey commands at the keyboard. The commands enable you to select either of the computers, to toggle between them, to resync the mouse, or to initiate and abort autoscan feature.

The video enhancement technology on the ServSwitch provides you with VGA quality of up to 1920 x 1440. The ServSwitch Micro also has two audio jacks, for speakers on the console side, and two audio cables for connecting to the computers on the other side. This way, you can listen to stereo audio from two applications using one set of speakers. The ServSwitch Micro is suitable for multimedia applications, which require frequent switching between computers.
