This Formatt-Hitech Neutral Density 1.2 Filter Kit contains 5 replacement filters for use with the Formatt-Hitech GoPro Hero 3 filter holder. These 1.2 density filters provide a 4-stop reduction in exposure, allowing the use of longer shutter speeds or wider aperture settings than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Additionally, the additional exposure time afforded by these filters helps to eliminate the rolling shutter effect caused by the fast native shutter speed of the GoPro. This reduction in shutter speed also helps to produce a more cinematic appearance, replicating the look of movies recorded at 24 fps.
Each filter measures 33 x 36mm, is 1mm-thick, and is constructed from CR-39 resin.
