Unfortunately, although this was the exact headset I needed to use at the fitness studio I work at, it had issues - barely any sound when plugged in correctly and that sound went in and out. I decided to contact the manufacturer directly since under warranty and sent it back for repair or replacement - now awaiting it to come back to me. Had to pay return shipping if I sent back to B&H (or sent to SHURE), so figured I would go direct to SHURE to streamline process. Hope the new or repaired one functions well. I would definitely order again from B&H based on my experience - don't blame B&H for the technical issues in the headset.

I bought this for our football stadium. We had a lavaliere mic for the ref and it was not working out well. Changed to the Shure SM31FH mic and all is great. I paired it with the Shure Wa360 In-Line Remote Mute Switch and all of the stuff works GREAT!!!!

Does this microphone sound any better with the ...

Does this microphone sound any better with the GLDX 14 than the BLX 14? We commonly have music playing and want to make sure our instructor's voice is clear and retains a dynamic profile.

The Shure SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone will sound the same with both wireless systems. The PA that you are connecting the wireless mic system and music to will most likely have more of an affect on the clarity of the sound.

The Shure SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone is designed for use with Shure wireless transmitters. The connector is a TA4F mini XLR; unfortunately, there is no 6.3mm adapter available for it.

The Shure SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone has an attached 45" cable with a TA4F connector, so it is ready to use with a Shure bodypack transmitter or another wireless transmitter that uses a TA4F input connector.

The SM31 is a good option for fitness applications like teaching yoga. Since this is just a microphone and not a complete wireless system, you may want to consider purchasing a complete system with the same mic included such as Shure BLX14/SM31 Wireless Cardioid Fitness Headset Microphone System (B&H # SHB14SM31H10).
