The IS-SS-HID Stainless Steel Flush Mount Audio Door Station from Aiphone is for use with the IS series communication systems, and has a built-in HID ProxPoint plus card reader.
The audio door station can be connected via CAT5e/CAT6 wire to any of the following IS exchange units: IS-CCU Central Control Unit, IS-SCU Add-On Control Unit, or IS-RCU Room Station Control Unit. Maximum distance from the door station to the exchange unit is 980'.0 (298.7m).
Wiring and power for the card reader are separate from the intercom wiring. The card reader is to be connected to a host controller (sold separately) of any type that is compatible with the HID ProxPoint Plus proximity card reader.
