The RY-24L Form C Door Release Relay from Aiphone is used with AX, KB, KC, and JM Color Video Systems when using the door release feature. It protects the built-in contacts from possible surge damage.
The RY-24L Relay provides an interface between the door strike contacts on the Aiphone unit and the release mechanism. It is required if the electric strike or magnetic lock is of a higher voltage or draws more voltage than specified for the unit. The relay provides either a Normally Open (NO) contact for an electric strike, or a Normally Closed (NC) contact for a magnetic lock.
Note:
Use the RY-3DL Selective Door Release Adapter (available separately) to release more than 2 doors in the JM System, or more than 1 door in the KB System
