The Hohner Chord 48 Harmonica is designed to accompany harmonica ensembles and full orchestras. The harmonica is designed so that the performer can play 48 separate chords on 48 separate reed plates with 384 total reeds. This makes all major, minor, 7th, diminished, and augmented chords available in 4-part octave voicings.
The lower-pitched reeds are positioned on the inner rows of the harmonica to ensure equidistant placement of high and low tones for balanced miking. Each chord is on its own reed placement to enable personalized chord layout, easy maintenance, and ergonomic playing. The harmonica is made in Germany and comes with a carrying case and shoulder strap.
