question

What is the maximum distance the speaker can be from the mic?
Asked by: Wayne
For best results with the Pyle Pro PDMIKC5 and similar mics, it would be recommended to be positioned no more than a foot or so from the capsule of the mic.

question

Is it working well (no noises on signal) with 48v phantom power? I need a simple talkback mic to a unit with 48v phantom power which is on while recording with a condenser mic.
Asked by: Erez E.
It doesn't work with phantom power. It takes a 9v battery in the base and needs the battery in order to operate. There is an audible click/pop when the switch is pushed (the volume of which is moderate - neither particularly loud or soft).

question

Is it always necessary to push to talk? Can the mic stay on?
Asked by: Wayne
No, it is a toggle switch not momentary. It will stay on the on position in which the ring around the button lights up as well as a ring around the microphone. If you hit the button again all lights go off and the microphone should be in the off position.
