SHAPE ISEE III Broadcast Gimbal with Shoulder Mount

The ISEE III Broadcast Gimbal with Shoulder Mount from SHAPE is a 2-axis motorized gimbal designed to stabilize a cinema camera or DSLR weighing between 6 and 12 lb. The two brushless motors work to counteract tilt and roll, keeping the horizon level and the lens parallel to the ground. However, because there is no third axis, you will still be able to pan freely. If you do need to tilt the camera, there is a joystick control that allows you to do so electronically.

The gimbal is mounted on a recoil-style shoulder rig. The recoil design puts the weight of the camera and gimbal over your shoulder so that you won't need additional counterweights. By the nature of this design, you should use an EVF or on-camera monitor unless the camera's viewfinder can be relocated. Otherwise the built-in screen may be too far back to comfortably view while shooting.

The ISEE III is designed for larger DSLRs and cinema cameras such as the Canon C100, C300, and C500, the Red Scarlet, and others weighing between 6 and 12 lb. The system powers using two LP-E6 types batteries. This is the same battery type used by many Canon EOS cameras, including the 7D and 5D Mark III.
