The FV-2000 utilizes a 6-point solid steel deadbolt locking mechanism that can be unlocked quickly through the use of an electronic keypad. This can be set to a silent access feature that mutes the beeping notification. There are also low battery warnings and a lock out mode for entering the incorrect code too many time. A secondary access method is provided with a set of two back-up keys. Included with the safe are a 9V battery to power the lock and mounting hardware for bolting the safe to the floor using the pre-drilled holes.
