Compression Crimper for CATV F Connectors is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best CATV/coax compression tool for the money! Don't let the too-specific for CATV F Connectors product headline mislead you, this handy tool also handles coaxial BNC & RCA compression connectors, in addition to F-type cable TV & antenna/tuner/satellite connections. Compared to other ratchet-type crimp tools in the $20-$60+ price range (Eclipse makes a $60 pro-model, too), this one from Eclipse is a bargain, especially when you just have a small cabling project & don't need to invest in an expensive pro-grade tool. Having said that, this is still a well-made carbon steel & ABS tool and has held up through several of my professional install jobs. One tip: for most brands of BNC connections, just remove the blue snap-in reversible head insert (a/k/a anvil) to allow for the extra connector length (I mostly use Ideal brand InSITE BNC for RG6/RG6Q cable, and un-compressed they are longer than Eclipse 705-series connectors). Only downside is the lack of instructions other than the brief diagrams on the blister-pack cardboard backing. No online PDF or details about what the 19-3 and 20-0 markings on the reversible anvil mean. Both anvil holes will accept the center pin of an RCA compression fitting, so just check connector alignment to see what fits best.
