Hello! Does the removable zoom grip allow for remounting elsewhere on the camera rig -- possibly using a rosette like the Canon ZSG-C10 Zoom Grip?
This handgrip is removable but does not use a rosette to mount. It can only mount directly to the lens. There is another Canon grip that is mounted on a rosette however you would need to keep this lens's handgrip on since it has the motor. Canon SG-1 Shoulder-Style Grip Unit B&H # CASG1.

What is the weight of the lens? What is the weight of just the motor? Is the process to remove and remount the motor easy and painless?
The weight of the lens and motor is 6.4 lb / 2.9 kg. The motor is just like any other ENG motor; a couple of screws and its off/on.
