The EDS14 Mini Rugged NAS Server from Synology allows you to take your files with you on the go. The rugged design of this NAS server ensures it can withstand harsh conditions including temperatures as high as 122°F (50°C). To keep everything cool, the EDS14 features a dynamic cooling mechanism eliminating the need for a fan. Inside the EDS14 you will find a 1.2 GHz Marvel Armada 3 processor complete with 512MB of DDR3 RAM to ensure smooth operation.
On the outside of the EDS14 you can plug in USB compatible devices to either of the included USB ports. For high speed data transfers the USB 3.0 port supports data read speeds of up to 111.94 MB/s and write speeds of up to 50.58 MB/s. Additionally, you can insert either SDHC or SDXC SD memory cards into the memory card slot. The memory card slot supports data read speeds of up to 77.81 MB/s and write speeds of up to 45.4 MB/s when using an SDXC memory card.
With QuickConnect and Mobile access the EDS14 can be accessed remotely via iOS, Android, and Windows Phone based mobile devices. You can also access and share files across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. In addition to remote file access, this NAS server comes compatible with Synology's Surveillance Station application providing remote access to your IP cameras.

EDS14 supports the external storage interfaces including both USB 3.0 and SDXC/UHS-I, maximizing system availability with both speed and capacity.
