It’s ok

I have a televid 82mm for a long time and thought I would upgrade the power a little. I tested it on Moon and 2 planets and still not amazed about the performance as I thought I would. Maybe It’s not designed for that purpose. I found it harder to find objects when coupled with the eyepiece. Quality is always impressive with such brand.

I put this on my angled APO Televided 65. It just snaps in place easily. Its so good I plan to just leave it on the scope. Its really like turbocharging the scope. I even had it out last night and was enjoying the moons of jupiter. Very sharp and useful accessory.

Attaches to the angled spotting scopes as described. Not useable on the straight spotting scopes. Resulting Image is acceptable at the lower magnifications but the Image is soft from center to edge at the higher magnifications. Definitely not acceptable for digiscope work and barely acceptable for eye only use. Very noticeably degrades the image provided by the excellent 25-50 power Leica zoom eyepiece. Way below Leica traditional standards.

A Useful Addition to a Great Piece of Equipment

I use this on my Leica APO 82MM Spotting Scope. The Leica Scope is a Fantastic Scope. This extender allows me to go beyond 50X when the situation warrants a higher magnification. It gives me a very clear view up to about 70X. After that the view seams to not be as good as when just having the eyepiece which is why I rated it a 4. Of course, I am comparing it to a fantastic image which I am truly impressed with. The image can be extended to 90x which will work but I found less sharp. I would prefer if Leica made a separate eyepiece for 70X, but this does a decent job at the lower ranges.
