The B&H response to this recommended a Manfrotto bag that gives its specs as 27.5 inches. The Nanopole folds down to 19.3 inches. Are you sure that the smaller Manfrotto bag (MBAG60N) rated at 23.6 inches (and $15 cheaper) wouldn't work?

Would this hold a Westcott Rapid Box 26 inch octa with speedlite?
Hi Suzanne,I've used the lightstand with the Joe McNally 24 softbox and a canon 600ex speedlight. That said, while the stand didn't have any issues holding it, one thing to note is to orientate the legs so that you have a one leg facing directly forward. This will assist in preventing it from toppling over as it can be a little front heavy. Alternatively (and this is what I would recommend) use a sandbag weight. There is a hook for it but I simply laid it over one of the leg stands as they can be placed flat with the floor.

I'm planning to attach a Canon 600EX II-RT Flash/Speedlight to this stand. I was looking at getting the Manfrotto Snap Tilthead bracket, but it's getting mixed reviews on how well it will hold a flash. What other umbrella bracket do you suggest that gives a secure hold? Or do any of you use the Snap Tilthead with a Canon flash? Thanks!
Hi Suzanne,I too looked at that head but found mixed reviews. The major issue I found from my reading was that the snap tilthead doesn't allow for locking of the flash in place. This is because of the 600ex's weather lock which the snap tilthead doesn't cater for. In the end I went with the following:- MA026 - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite)MA143S - Flash Shoe for Magic ArmThat said I haven't used it yet because the Joe McNally softbox comes with the Ezybox Hot Shoe Mark II Bracket which is what I use to hold the flash in place.
