I would like to remove the handle from this and mount it to a camera cage with a 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 screw. Would that be feasible by threading it through the hole the handle clamp screws through?
I purchased a used Rycote S-series blimp which is the predecessor to this model and uses the same handle mounting method. The thin metal plate the handle mounts to has 7 holes in it. The middle hole which the handle bolt go through is too small for a 1/4-20 thread, but the outer 6 holes are loose on a 1/4-20 thread and can be used to bolt this onto a cage or any other 1/4-20 accessory mount with a 1/4-20 nut. This allows for low profile mounting to a camera cage exactly as I had hoped.

How does this blimp compare with the rycote windshield kit 4? Looks like the only real difference is that the the super-shield does not have a real connbox. Need help picking one, thanks!
The Rycote Super-Shield Kits are a great cost effective solutions for heavy wind diffusion, but don't offer the same modular customization available on the windshield kits(4).

No, The Rycote 010320 Super-Shield Kit for Shotgun Mics (Small) is for shotgun microphones up to 200mm long and it will not be able to accommodate the Sennheiser MKH 8060 when combined with the Sennheiser MZF 8000. The MKH 8060 is 178mm long and the MZF 8000 is 29mm long, which is 207mm when used together. Instead of the small Rycote Super-Shield, you can use the Rycote 010321 Super-Shield Kit for Shotgun Mics - Medium (B&H # RYSSKM) which accommodates mics that are 200 to 250mm long.
