IOGEAR Matrix Pro Reviews
Works... But not well
This device is not at all what it is boasted to be. I was utilizing it well within Range and i had continuous issues
If you need one, this is it.
The Iogear wireless 5x2 HD Matrix Pro is pretty much the only way you can send HDMI video to multiple remote monitors without running wires. When it works, it works very well. However, I ordered the basic setup transmitter + one receiver and an additional receiver. The additional receiver had to be drop-shipped from the manufacturer, and so did not arrive with the transmitter. Once it came, the first task was pairing it to the receiver. The process is clumsy in that it involves holding down a button while plugging the device in and waiting for a flashing light, which is covered by the finger that you are using to hold the ON button down. The system worked well for about a week, when the second receiver failed. It took three weeks to get a replacement, again drop-shipped from Iogear. Good job to B&H customer service. Not so much to Iogear. One drawback, all of the receivers show the same thing. You can connect up to 5 sources, but no matter what you can only watch two of them: one on the straight-through local connection and the other on however many remotes you have. Still, the alternative is HDMI splitters/repeaters and a lot of wiring, and it avoids all that. This is second-generation I think, maybe next generation will be more usable by more people.
