The Wi-Fi HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Tablet delivers the performance and features expected by professionals on the go. This Wi-Fi tablet comes with the ElitePad Docking Station and ElitePad Smart Jacket with extended battery, allowing you to stand your tablet upright at a desk or take it on the road, all the while connecting it to peripherals like external monitors and USB devices.
This Windows 8.1 Pro tablet is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3795 quad-core processor which is able to reach a peak speed of 2.39 GHz, and 4GB of RAM. Files can be stored on the internal 64GB eMMC drive as well as on optional microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards holding up to 2TB.
The tablet's 10.1" widescreen display has a resolution of 1600 x 1200, suitable for viewing full HD 1080p video. The touchscreen utilizes capacitive multi-touch technology, enabling users to touch type, pinch to zoom, swipe, rotate, and more on the touch-optimized Windows 8.1 interface. The glossy display is made from strengthened Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect against scratches and breakage and has an anti-smudge coating to prevent fingerprints from streaking the screen.
The ElitePad is built with cameras front and rear for videoconferencing and capturing images and video in full 1080p high definition. It plays DTS+ audio via its stereo speakers, or through the 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack.

Whether you are completing a project, playing a game, or reading a book, with Windows 8.1, you can use touch, an optional stylus, and an optional keyboard seamlessly. Windows 8.1 starts quickly and is cloud-connected so you can access your photos, documents, and settings on almost any Internet-connected Windows 8.1 PC.
10.1" Full HD Multi-Touch Screen
View images, video, documents, and more in 1080p detail on the wide-viewing angle display. Designed to work both indoors and out, the glossy touchscreen features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and impact as well as an anti-smudge coating to keep your screen fingerprint free. The wide 16:10 aspect ratio display uses a multi-touch capacitive digitizer to respond to typing, pointing, and gestures.
HP ElitePad Docking Station
This dock expands the utility of your ElitePad, turning it into a powerful desktop computer. It has HDMI and VGA out for connecting to external monitors or projectors as well as four USB ports to support your peripherals. The docking station also features an RJ-45 Ethernet port to connect to your office's network, a 3.5mm stereo/headphone jack, and a smart AC adapter to charge and power your device.
HP ElitePad Smart Jacket with Extended Battery
Add even more functionality to your tablet with the Smart Jacket, a case for your device that adds HDMI and USB ports as well as a SDHC/MMC reader and a stylus holder. The back of the jacket features a stand for tabletop use. The ElitePad can connect to the included docking station while enclosed in the Smart Jacket.

Full HD Cameras
Videoconference in full high definition with the tablet's 2.1 MP front-facing camera or snap pictures of the world around you with the 8MP rear-facing camera. The front camera is located just above the display in the center, under the digital microphone and to the left of the status indicator light that tells you when the camera is in use. Both cameras record 1080p video, and the rear camera includes an LED flash for low light situations.
Wireless Connectivity
Network wirelessly with the ElitePad's 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connection and connect to peripherals like speakers, keyboards, headphones, printers, and more as well as other mobile devices via Bluetooth 4.0. Show presentations, share screens, watch live TV, and play movies with Miracast, which uses your Wi-Fi connection to mirror screens and deliver media content between enabled devices.
Audio
Users can listen to audio through the integrated stereo speakers or via the combination stereo/headphone/microphone jack. Two integrated noise-cancelling and beamforming microphones capture clear sound when recording or videoconferencing. The ElitePad also supports DTS+ audio, which provides 5.1 channels of sound with minimal compression.
Up to 33 Hours of Battery Life
The 2-cell (30 WHr, 4200mAh) lithium polymer battery is rated for up to 13 hours of usable life, enabling users to be productive on the go, even when far from a power outlet. When used with the included Smart Jacket, the extended battery adds up to 20 hours of life.
Security Suite
- HP Client Security offers a selection of security solutions designed to protect your data at the BIOS, hardware, and software levels. Features include permanent file and drive erasure, encrypted and password protected hard drives, and bank-level password management.
- HP Trust Circles allows you to work on sensitive files with team members by using encryption technology to make the data unreadable to all but the contacts you choose. This version lets you create five Trust Circles with up to five contacts in each Trust Circle.
- Locate and lock your device, prevent unauthorized access, and remotely delete personal data with the included four-year license of Absolute Data Protect. Absolute Data Protect must be activated by customers. Service may be limited, check with Absolute for availability outside the United States.
- HP BIOS Protection offers enhanced protection against virus attacks to the BIOS and other security threats, and is designed to help prevent data loss and reduce downtime.
- Prevent data from being copied to USB devices without permission using HP Device Access Manager with Just in Time Authentication.
