The Teradek Cubelet 255/355 consists of the Cube 255 HDMI Encoder and Cube 355 HD-SDI Decoder, delivered to you paired and ready to automatically connect with one another over an ad-hoc or WiFi network.
The bundle offers a variety of network connectivity options, namely, RJ-45 Ethernet, dual band WiFi, and USB port for 3G/4G modems. This bundle provides a high definition end-to-end streaming video solution that eliminates the need for PC-based decoding. The 255/355 bundle is particularly useful for filmmaking, ENG, and Pro AV applications.
The Teradek Cube 255 HDMI Encoder with Wi-Fi is a wireless camera-top video and embedded audio encoder. It connects to a camera via HDMI and streams proxy files/dailies in H.264 to a decoder or website. You can stream by dual-band Wi-Fi wherever a network is available, by Ethernet via an optional router, or by an optional 3G/4G modem connection. You can also store the files to a microSD card as the Cube features a microSD slot with support for up to 32GB cards.
For mounting, the Cube attaches either to a camera's hot shoe or a cage/rig via an included 1/4"-20 mounting screw. Aside from the HDMI input, connections consist of an Ethernet port, a 3.5mm line/mic input, and a headphone jack. A micro-USB slot is available for charging and configuring.
The Teradek Cube has a rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery that lasts up to two hours. It can also be powered with the included AC power adapter or by an external battery via a 2-pin LEMO input. An OLED screen indicates the remaining battery life, online status, and the URL being streamed to. Optionally, Teradek offers camera batteries with 2-pin LEMO output so you can easily power both the camera and Teradek with the same battery. The following three 2-pin LEMO batteries can be used for power: the Teradek Canon BP-945, Teradek Panasonic D54, and the Teradek Panasonic VW-VGB6.

Teradek's Cube-355 HD-SDI Decoder with WiFi connects to SDI switchers and monitors and outputs HD video with embedded audio, in H.264, that it receives and decodes from a Teradek encoder. The encoder can stream resolutions as high as 1080p/30. The 355 supports and can output 1080p/30 and via a built-in scaler can upscale any lower resolution. It can receive from the encoder by dual-band WiFi, by Ethernet, or optionally via a 3G/4G USB modem, which connects into a USB port.
The Cube features an internal 2-hour battery and can also be powered by an included AC adapter or an optional Teradek/SWIT 945, D54, or VGB6 2-pin Lemo battery. A 1/4" thread allows 1/4" mounting but being on the output side, the 355 can simply be used table-top.
