The NIBL 056 AC adapter is intended to power the receiver, since in most situations battery power would be used for the transmitter. However, both the Transmitter and Receiver have the same power input and either would be able to use the power adapter. A second power adapter would be ideal if you want to power both the transmitter and receiver from AC power.
