The smc FA 645 200mm f/4 IF Lens from Pentax is a medium-format, manual and autofocusing telephoto lens with a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 157mm. It provides a soft out-of-focus (bokeh) effect. It features two extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to correct for chromatic aberration, and a ghostless coating to effectively eliminate reflections on the inner surface of the lens, in order to provide sharp images with high contrast. The inner focusing system improves focusing speed and minimizes lens extension, allowing for a closer minimum focus distance.

smc FA 645 200mm f/4 IF Lens is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from worth the money This lens is being used on a Pentax 645D. I was thinking a while whether I should purchase this lens or not because I already had the older Pentax 645 SMC A 200mm f/4 lens. But after a few first shots it was clear to me, that this lens performs better and is much more comfortable to handle. First of all there is AF which works very precisely for close and far distant objects equally well. Wide open there is excellent center sharpness which decreases towards corners and borders. Stopping down the aperture achieves the lens's best performance at f/8 to f/11. Captures are equally sharp corner to corner here. Wide open this lens delivers much more contrast than its older brethren. Chromatic aberration (CA) is very low wide open and can simply be removed in post processing while the older A version shows a slight magenta haze at all apertures. The lens is very light weight compared to let say a HC210 which makes is a good travel companion. Filter size is 58mm only. The same as on the older A type. Unfortunately this lens does not have the integrated lens hood any more which is a real pity. And its construction does not appear to be that strong as the older A version. Optically and mechanically it cannot compete with a HC210 but it is not too far away from it.... which is really surprising.
