    EOTech Model 512 reviews

512 Holographic Sight (Red Dot Reticle, Mossy Oak Obsession Camo) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice sight Glad I ordered from B&H. They had one of the lowest prices. Ordering was simple and product arrived quickly. And the sight is amazing. Super fast target acquisition. Once it's dialed in its rock solid. AA batteries are a bonus. I actually started ordering from another site and because they were having some issues with the personal info section of their page I looked for someone else who had an equally good price on this item. B&H was the only reputable site close and I think they were maybe 1 or 2 bucks more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product! Mounting on my Colt AR-15 took less than two minutes. Easy to use and zero. Only con would be that the brightness setting resets when you turn it off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Optic Great Price I have one EOtech with NV and a magnifier on my first AR. It nice but very expensive and a bit heavy. I'm completing another AR build and was looking for a less expensive optic. I looked at the Vortex Strikefire 2 and Sparc 2 (I have the Sparc 1 which is a screaming deal) but the price difference between this model EOtech was that much more. I prefer to window design ACOGS as they are better for two eyed shooting. For this optic at this price you cannot go wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding fast-acquisition sight I am a former active-duty United States Marine infantryman. We had iron sights when I was in the Corps, so I was largely unfamiliar with holographic and red dot sights prior to this purchase. I did plenty of research prior to buying this sight, and I can say without hesitation that, this is a great asset to any infantryman or person wishing to have a sight that would allow fast target acquisition and accurate engagement at close to medium ranges (roughly 0-200 yds with an M4 carbine and no magnifier). The beauty of this sight is that you do not have to sacrifice your iron sights in order to utilize the optic. Iron sights are not back up iron sights for me. They are the most fundamental and failure-proof method of aiming the weapon. With the proper mount and/or iron sights, you can cowitness this sight in such a way that the 1 MOA dot is resting exactly in the top middle of the front sight post. Using a static rear sight with an integrated rail (riser) such as the RRA Dominator II Eotech mount, this Eotech sight fits the mission of my rifle perfectly. Durable, dependable performance. It doesn't take away from the iron sights in any way, but it does add a couple of features that weren't there previously. Sight alignment (with irons) is now an option rather than a requirement. Also, a shooter can engage a dimly silhouetted target at night with no problems related to not being able to see through the irons. The unit is well-built, and seems as if it would be able to take its share of field punishment. My only caveat about this design is that, perhaps the default brightness setting is about 5 clicks too high. This is easily fixed with a few clicks down once the unit is powered on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Couldnt pass up the price for an EOTECH! Took it to the range and ran a few rounds through an AR. The scope does exactly what it claims to do. Functions are easy to learn and manipulate. Did not experience any white out under bright light conditions that I had heard about. Overall a great piece of equipment for my AR. I like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This weapon sight is great. The reticle is very clear and always shows where the weapon is pointed. Very fast to get on target. Zeroing is made easy with the side mounted adjustments. Once zeroed, the 1 MOA dot is almost perfectly co-witnessed with the iron sights on an AR-15 type rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent choice This was initially mounted on a Ruger MKIII with a Picatinny rail and is absolutely incredible. But it will ultimately find its home on a Rock River Arms AR. The one MOA dot and variable intensity are the cat's meow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EOTech -512.A65 This product is the most inovative scope on the market today. What ever the red dot is fixed on is where the gun shoots. Great product and a great price from B&H Photo. Best price in comparison on the web.
