Tiffen Warm Linear Polarizer Overview

The Tiffen Warm Linear Polarizing Filter is a single filter combined of two Tiffen filters - A Polarizing and an 812 Warming filter.

Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

A Tiffen 812 Warming filter gives you a warming effect which improves skin tones.

Note:
Linear polarizers are used with most video and manual focus photo cameras. They are not recommended for auto-focus SLR cameras.
This filter eliminates ultraviolet rays to remove haze from outdoor shots as well as polarizing the light to remove reflections, and increase color saturation, without affecting the overall color balance
Incorporates the effect of Tiffen's exclusive 812 warming filter, which improves skin tones and is ideal for portraits taken on a cloudy day or outdoors in shade on a sunny day.

Tiffen Warm Linear Polarizer Reviews

Works for me

Works very well especially if your metering is through the lens. However, I'm not sure how much I'll use it. I got it to eliminate glare off of glaciers for my Alaska trip, but it was cloudy every day. Both photos were taken with the filter. The difference is the angle of the polarization.

I am a black and white photography, using the product for the first time

question

Why isn't it available in 46mm filter size? That's the size most of my Micro Four Thirds lenses are.

Please call B&H directly and tell them you would like to request they special order item # 46WPOL from Tiffen.
