The ikan VH8 Basic Kit 8" On-Camera Monitor with Nikon EN-EL15 Type Battery & Plate, Hood includes an 8" on-camera monitor, a Nikon EN-EL15 type battery, a battery plate, an AC adapter, a ball mount adapter, a sun hood, and an HDMI cable. It features an 8" HD IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 768 pixels, 300 NIT brightness with a 800:1 contrast ratio that delivers a sharp, bright image in a chassis that weighs less than half a pound.
The VH8 features Peaking, False Color, and Clip Guides, each one a valuable tool that the camera operator can use to check focus and exposure while shooting. The monitor scales the video to fit its screen and includes a 1:1 pixel mode for checking fine details of your image. The monitor also features an Underscan mode, so you can shrink the image within the screen to make sure you are seeing the edges of the frame. The on-screen display simplifies navigating through the menu system.
The unit features an HDMI input, Composite output, and an HDMI loopthrough output. The HDMI input makes it easy to use this monitor when shooting with HDSLR cameras. The built-in headphone jack allows you to monitor audio directly from the VH8. Four rear mounted touch sensitive assignable function keys allow you to activate often-used functions. The included ball head features an accessory foot mount and 1/4"-20 screw. This allows you to attach the ball mount to the monitor and thus attach your monitor to your cameras hot/cold shoe.
