The mic is very nice and well made. The only problem is I have not yet found a way for it to work with my Moto5 Android phone's video camera, the purpose for which I bought it. Not yet sure if it is compatible. Audio apps seem to work well though. If this will work with your hardware/software it is a good product for a great price.

If you thought Apple spent time and money on your built in microphone then think again. This mic makes everything we record on the ipad sound professional. It is weird to here the playback and notice such a difference. Given the price paid for this mic....definitely a value added component for you budding podcasters.

Not recommended.

Did not like using this to record audio onto my LG G4. Made a digital hissing/clicking sound and could not remedy even with proper mic placement. I gave the mic away. Unhappy.

question

We are looking to get some microphones for our iPads to be used with 5th grade students. Two questions: 1) How good is it at cancelling out other sound that would be present in a classroom? 2) How durable is the microphone?
Asked by: Jeffrey L.
The microphone does not cancel sounds at all. Its cardioid polar pattern provides a high level of off-axis rejection, optimizing it for use recording speech as well as instruments and vocals. It is a reasonably durable microphone, but it will not sustain rough handling like dropping.
