The Hexi 24 Speedlight Softbox from Impact is a 24" diameter, bracket-mounted light modifier designed to work with hot shoe speedlight-type flashes of any type or size, with or without radio slaves.

Ideal for run-and-gun photography, the Hexi includes a bracket mount that allows it to be handheld while the 5/8" receiver on its handle offers a stand-mounted option for stationary subjects. The Hexi 24's removable inner baffle and front diffuser can be used in any combination or not at all to offer a quality of light ranging from low contrast and soft to hard and specular. The Hexi's high-output reflective silver interior minimizes light loss when both diffuser and baffle are in place. Optional accessories include a 40-degree grid. A carrying case is included for storage and transport.

What a great piece of new equipment to add to my kit of photography tool. Well built and very easy to use. I love the fact that I can use it by hand or put on a stand of which I also purchased at the same time. Always good to have a extra on hand when you need one. You can't go wrong with this piece of equipment

I love how easy this is to set up, and it isn't too heavy to handle. I like the flexibility of either holding the handle or attaching it to a stand. I'm much more pleased with the light coming out of my speedlight.

This product is great just handle it careful as is plastic but will do the job without spending hundreds of dollars

Poor Quality and Clunky

The positive thing about this softbox is light weight but you cannot fold it and go, on the other hand. The plastic handle cracked after third mount on the lightstand. The hotshoe is flimsy that you need to rubberband or tape the speedlight to the shoe mount. It gives beautiful light by the way.

The plastic parts feel cheap. I've had soft boxes blow over I. The breeze, I feel this one would brake as soon as it hit the ground.

As it is designed it is not compatible. Some people have had varying amounts of luck with DIY adapters to raise the AD200 to the right level.

No, it does not. The Impact Hexi 24 Speedlight Softbox, B&H # IMHSS24, is designed for use with hot shoe speedlight flashes. It is not compatible for use with studio strobes.

What am I missing? When I place the handle on a light stand it bobbles around regardless how tight I dare to tighten it. Is there a special adapter to attach to your light stand?

I am using : B&H has CAMVATE Screw Adapter Set (1/4"-20F To 3/8"-16F,1/4"-20M To 1/4"-20M,1/4"-20M To 3/8"-16M) make sure the lock screw on the speed box handle is completely clear of the socket then ensure the handle seats flush with the base of the screw adapter. Locking the screw you should be secure. You will need 2 camvate paired with one end in the light stand, and the other in the speedlight softbox handle. Cheers!

This softbox would not be an umbrella type but rather it allows to snap the rods down for transport. There are switches just behind the rod points on the speed ring which allow this.

Where the grip handle and the bracket meet to attach to one another broke only after 2 light uses. Where can I get a replacement of the handle grip as no other universal brackets will attach? I got this softbox about half a year ago and am just getting around to wanting to use it again.

The Hexi 24 is strictly for shoe mount flashes. A more suitable softbox for your AD400 Pro is the FotodioX EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic Softbox (28", Bowens Speed Ring) B&H # FOEZPDSBI28.

This is only a softbox, light stand and radio trigger. The kit can accept any speedlight flash which is Canon compatible.
