With an angle of view of 83.0°, the lens is well-suited for shooting landscapes, architecture, and for use in tight interior locations. It's fast maximum aperture of T2.2 also makes the lens suitable for shooting low-light conditions. Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images. Additionally, a Nano Coating System (NCS) has been applied to the lens elements in order to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved light transmission and more contrast-rich imagery. A bayonet-mount lens hood and lens pouch come included with the lens.

Only comparing picture quality (when the aperture is wide open or at lets say T4), Is this the right lens or the 16mm cine? is the 16 worth the extra $70.00

Does anyone know if the 12mm t2.2 is true to it's focal length on the sonya6500 because in the description of the lens it says 18mm(35mm) ?

I know this lens is a manual only lens. However, I would like to know if I use it on my Lumix G7 can I still get focus peaking working if I use this lens with it?
Asked by: Samantha
I don't have the G7 but focus peaking works in camera. The camera sees hard lines and uses them to determine focus, it had no communication with the lens to do this. Hope that helps! Should work fine.

What is the best Cinema lens under 3000.00 for Panasonic Lumix BGH1 Box Cinema Camera?
Asked by: curtis
Most would consider a 1-2 zoom lenses or multiple prime lenses for best use. For a $3000 budget a solid choice would be a kit of 2 DZOFilm Parfocal Zoom Lens: The DZOFilm DZO 10-24mm & 20-70mm T2.9 MFT Kit. These 2 lenses would cover a wide range of options and for zoom lenses have good performance in lowlight with a constant T2.9 aperture. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1507681-REG/dzoptics_dzo_6226611_13_bundle_10_24mm_20_70mm_t2_9.html Alternatively Rokinon offers several kits under $3000 that will include prime lenses that would cover most ranges as well. These lenses are exceptionally good in low light with an aperture of T1.5. One such kit is the Rokinon Cine DS 6 Lens Kit: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1258893-REG/rokinon_cine_ds_6_lens.html

question

What are some good ND filters as I have purchased one but don't have anything to help fight being overexposed while shooting outside at a wide open aperture in order to get nice bokeh?I am currently shooting on the BMPCC.
Asked by: Jose M.
I use this lens on my BMPCC almost exclusively due to it's size and focal length. You're best off with a variable ND filter (fader). I get amazing results with my Hoya, but there are other good ones. I use it like an iris control and park my aperture at whatever I want for DOF. I can shoot at T2.2 in full sun using a fader (usually have to adjust ISO to 200) without problems.
