The Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount is a wide-angle lens optimized for digital cinematography. The lens produces an image circle that will cover APS-C sized sensors or smaller. For use with a follow focus unit, the focus and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 pitch gearing. The aperture ring is also de-clicked to allow for smooth iris pulls while shooting. Focus, aperture, and depth of field markings are on the side of the lens to aid focus pullers, who typically operates on the side of the camera.

With an angle of view of 83.0°, the lens is well-suited for shooting landscapes, architecture, and for use in tight interior locations. It's fast maximum aperture of T2.2 also makes the lens suitable for shooting low-light conditions. Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images. Additionally, a Nano Coating System (NCS) has been applied to the lens elements in order to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved light transmission and more contrast-rich imagery. A bayonet-mount lens hood and lens pouch come included with the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens for Blackmagic Cinema Pocket Not expensive, looks sharp with very little distortion. Small form factor, invaluable for run and gun situations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great with the Panasonic G7 I picked this up to use with my Panasonic G7, and it works great! Sharp for 4K video, and opens up very wide - a lot of uses. This was my first time investing in expensive (non-used or vintage) glass, and well worth it. The wide field of view looks great for shooting up close person shots without much distortion or fisheye effects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lens! Very Pleased. I purchased this for a BMPCC Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I needed something wider. I have the 35 and the 85 Sony alpha mount and use an adapter. I bought this in the MFT to see it would be a little sharper without the adapter. It takes a little getting used to the wide openness, but I am pleased with the output.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! I have heard negative things about Rokinon, but it fit the budget. I am super happy with the image. The focus and iris rings are smooth and well built. Lens is incredibly small, much smaller than I anticipated. Resolves great at 4k on my GH4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing Wide-Angle Lens for the Panasonic DC-GH5 Its a lot tougher and better sealed than I expected it to be! I was rather cautious about buying this lens as it isn't weather sealed and being an outdoors filmmaker having reliable gear that performs well in harsh environments is at the top of my priorities. Although I haven't used this lens in extremely dusty conditions like in the Namib Desert. I have used it on dusty mountain bike trails, as well as on a number of outdoor and wildlife shoots in the rain, snow, and howling winds. It is also a great option for macro wide angles. You won't be able to get super close like you would with a dedicated macro lens, but you can get close enough to film the smallest of animals and the quality is amazing good. Its image quality is very good for a $300-400 Cine Prime and although there is distortion on the outer-most parts of the frame this distortion is minimal and reasonably attractive. Video is sharp usable even when wide open at T2.2. My conclusion: If used sensibly this lens will tolerate a lot more extreme weather conditions than the manufacturers will claim. I would highly recommend this Wide-Angle Lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras, especially the the Panasonic DC-GH5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good wide lens I bought this lens in MFT mount for the LS300, but it also works well on the Pocket Cam. On the S35 sensor of the 300 it is extremely wide and quite sharp wide open - and it has those nice gears and the smooth Rokinon feel when turning them. I'd give it 5 stars if it was a tad faster, but for the price there's nothing that compares.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid I use it on GH4 with Glidcam HD-2000 and it works fine. The built is awesome! Very solid and tiny since it's a 12m, which is great with GH4 and run and gun style. The focus ring is too small to use if you're not using a follow focus. The quality of the glass is great, but little soft during wide open. I guess in certain film style can use the softness as a style of creamy and white? maybe.Over all it's a great lens, cheap for a prime (cine) lens and high quality.
