    Wimberley PP-222 reviews

12" Extension for Plamp II is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added funtionality I added the extension to a Plamp II for macro photography in the garden and to hold branches with Monarch chrysalyside as the butterflies emerged. It adds reach and helps to adjust the Plamp. I ran hot water from the tap to the receiver end of the Plamp to allow the extension to connect. I recommend attaching the Plamp to an external tripod because it transmits movement if it's mounted on the tripod as the camera. Otherwise, it works great to steady subjects in wind outdoors, and to easily move the subject for focusing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great extension but hard to attach I love the Plamp! This extension makes it a little under 36 inches. As such it won't support quite as much weight, but for my uses it's ok. But be aware that this is *very* hard to attach and involves heating up the ends with boiling water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy another plamp if it supported more weight. I do a lot of still life photography and I adore the Plamp. It lets me hang small objects in big space. I would love it if it supported (barely) more than 8 ounces. Any chance of that in coming models?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ties that bind I thought I was pretty strong for a woman but I was not able to attach the extension without the help of a man. When the directions say you may need to use some force to attach they weren't kidding. The upside to this is once it is attached you have confidence in the Plamp not coming apart when you are using it. The extension gave me just the added reach that I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functions as advertised. Works the way it should. Bear in mind that the longer the extension the less stable it is. Easy to add to the original Plamp if you follow the directions.
