I bought these auto poles from B&H. These are perfect pare of taking studio photography. I can hang light on it and hang variety wallpapers on it. So Great.

Not worth the extra money to get the newer version

Great for maximizing space in my small studio. I use them for placing edge lights as far back as possible. It's also saver than having a light stand with sandbags when working with kids and/or animals. The rubber ends tend to stay behind, stuck to the ceiling, when I remove it, so I knocked off a star for having to retrieve it every time. In my home studio I can reach the ceiling without a step ladder, but in a place with higher ceilings this would be quite a nuisance.
