Allowing you to print photographs and photographs on treated fabrics or other surfaces, Lumi Inkodye is a light-sensitive textile dye well-suited to printing onto clothing, bags, or other surfaces. This 0.95 oz bottle of red vat dye is specifically designed for use with natural fibers, such as cotton, burlap, and wool, or other surfaces such as wood or unglazed ceramic and maintains a high level of permanence that can hold up against washes in soap, boiling water, and bleach.
Once the red dye has been applied to the desired surface, the negative or pattern is then overlaid and can be exposed using sunlight. Once the exposure has been made—about 10-12 minutes in direct sunlight—the fabric or substrate should be washed to remove excess, unexposed dye. This 0.95 oz bottle of Inkodye will make about one 12 x 12" print depending on dilution or absorbency of the material.
