The 4-user ComStar XT Full Duplex Wireless System with Slimline Double Headsets from Eartec is a full duplex wireless system that provides hands-free communication which is constantly on, without any delay. The system consists of the Com-Center base transceiver, 4 ComPak beltpack transmitters, a multi-port charger, and 4 Slimline Double headsets.
Each ComPak beltpack transmitter has a range of operation of up to 1,200 feet from the Com-Center, and up to 2,400 feet from each other transmitter. The ComPak is powered by a rechargeable lithium for up to 10 hours per charge. The Com-Center Transceiver can be either battery or AC powered, allowing for on-location use.
The system can be set up in conference mode, where everyone is on the same broadcast channel, or you can split the users into 2 groups.
The COMSTAR Com-Center Full Duplex Wireless Base Station from Eartec is a fully-functional wireless base station that offers full duplex communication for up to 8 wireless headsets. The Com-Center has a simple design that does not require the use of beltpacks, allowing you to create a wireless network of 8 users who can all communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation, ideal for applications where teams need full use of their hands. You can even split users into 2 groups of 4 people, or bring everyone together in conference mode.
The Com-Center connects wirelessly to headsets at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing 2 headsets to be up to 800 yards apart while still enjoying full communication capabilities. The Com-Center is self tuning, so no remote antenna is needed. The base station has a rechargeable NiMH battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation and can be changed in seconds. An AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries are also provided to give you additional powering options.
The base station and other COMSTAR components work in the 1900MHz frequency band, which is reserved by the FCC for "PCS" voice communication, so no license is required. The system is certified for use in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Designed for those who want COMSTAR hands-free communication but prefer lighter headsets, Eartec has fashioned the COMPAK Full Duplex Beltpack to function as a transceiver which can be attached to your belt or jacket by means of a spring-loaded clip. The COMPAK features a lightweight form-factor of 2.5 oz—battery included—as well an ergonomic shape that conforms to the contours of the human body. Its silicone-sealed mute switch allows you to cut the microphone gain, while a volume control gives you five different gradients of loudness. The transceiver itself is capable of a 400 yd communication range, all the while utilizing a transmission power of less than 10mW, meaning no FCC license is required to utilize this unit.
The Eartec Slimline Double Headset for Compak Beltpack is a mid-weight headset model that combines comfort and durability. This headset features an internal spring steel headband that can be adjusted to provide the right amount of tension for each user. The extra soft padding ensures that the headset fits snugly but is also a pleasure to wear. The Slimline Headset is useful for videographers as well as churches and theatrical production teams. The Slimline Headset is available for use with existing wired intercoms, wireless systems, and all Eartec transceivers.
The CH-CS28P COMSTAR Multi-Port Replacement Desktop Charger from Eartec is a convenient charger that allows you to charge all of the batteries of your COMSTAR communication system simultaneously. The charger can hold 2 Com-Center batteries and 8 headset batteries.
