Epson S045596 Reviews

Metallic Photo Paper Luster (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Metallic Paper Delivers Great Images I recently purchase a pack of Epson's relatively new Metallic Photo paper. I've been using it to print black and white photos on my Epson R2400. I have been quite impressed with the result. The tonal range is great; deep blacks while preserving highlight and the sharpness of the images is impressive. From some angles the images appear a little glittery, but overall I'm very pleased. This paper starts to bring back some of the qualities of traditional silver photo paper. I like the fact that unlike some metallic papers the whites and borders are white and not a silver metallic. Have not tired this with color images yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nothing bad to say The price is reasoable, a few dollars less than Ultra prem Luster. The prints are wonderful. I am a photographer that processes and prints his own prints. I had a difficult time deciding which was metallic and which was regular Luster. Other than the paper color itself, and a slight metallic sheen, only my wiofe could pick out which was which. The paper is a whiter white than Luster non metallic. Negatives. Using the printer profile from Epson produced too heavy and dark prints. I reverted to the premium Luster profile I had professionally made for my printer, and the prints were beautiful. Very nice and smooth. Fred Auerbach

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's ok I was looking for another option related to the epson exhibition fiber in which epson suggested I try the new metallic papers. The paper I feel is very similar to the smooth pearl from ilford. It is very white which is good in a sense where it holds colors very well but the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that the paper feels too thin for my taste. If the paper was a little thicker, I would say that it would feel more professional to my clients. I think I would rate it 3 1/2 stars because it'll be great for personal work but would be difficult to sell as professional paper. Would love it if epson came up with a thicker solution. Would recommend for personal use only

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is okay I decided to try this out just to see what it was like. And all I can say is that it is okay. I have used the Red River Polar Metallic paper before and I like it better then the epson. I have also tried the Epson Metallic Glossy and I still like the Red River paper better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Epson Metallic Photo Paper Luster I tried the 8.5 x 11 size first to see if it would work on my older R1800 Epson printer, and it works beautifully. ?Nice paper, nice sheen, nice weight -- I may use it instead of regular luster paper from now on, because it really doesn't need any gloss optimizer, although Epson commends that the gloss optimizer be used on the metallic paper. ?I sometimes have trouble with the optimizer smearing, however, so if I have a problem I can just turn it off. ?I like the paper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adds a nice pop Wouldn't use for every picture but with the right one it adds a nice pop to the print. Worked out well with macro flower and city landscape photos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, just not better than photo luster. Doesn't seem to be noticibly different from the photo luster paper. It's great, just doesn't seem to be worth the difference in price.
