Firewire 800 to 400 Adapter (White) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Esthetic and useful for Mac users with a Firewire 800 input. I had to plug Firewire 400 HD's in my MacBook Pro, this is the cable I needed. I would buy it again and again, this is the most beautiful cable I've ever had. I sometimes sleep with it, it has a very sensual touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This did *exactly* what I needed for it to do! I am very happy to review the Firewire 800 to 400 Adapter (White) by Moshi After eight years, I finally upgraded from the MacBook Pro I had been using to a Mac mini. Problem: 1. All the data I had was on my MacBook Pro or an external drive. 2. The MacBook Pro and the external drive used FireWire 400. 3. The Mac Mini uses Thunderbolt. I was able to get the Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapter cable without a problem at Fry's, but they no longer carried the Firewire 800 to 400 adapter. I went online and saw that B&H had the particular cable, BUT I had only a small window of opportunity to order before they closed for a religious holiday. I got the order in on a Saturday evening, and found they had processed the order on Sunday morning. I received the Firewire 800 to 400 adapter cable the following Tuesday, and was able to use the Migration Assistant to transfer all my data (which included 156 years of Austin, TX weather data and 30 year climate averages for all reporting weather stations in the U.S.) to the new computer. I am a VERY happy camper. I will definitely order from B&H again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm. I recently was asked to shoot a project with a Sony MiniDv camcorder(Firewire 400). My mid 2011 iMac only has a firewire 800 port so i picked up this adapter. The adapter has a solid fit and does not interfere with the other ports. A simple but extremely useful product.
