Perfect no-hassle solution to power my GH6.

I got a DMW-DCC17 dummy battery and use this to power my Panasonic GH6. It works perfectly, exactly as expected and advertised. Of special note is that the cord (between the adapter and the camera) is of sufficient length to give some flexibility in how and where I mount the camera vs where and how I mount the adapter during filming. Since the power cord portion itself is both standard and separate from the adapter, I was able to purchase a second cord (from a third party) to have the power cord permanently installed in two locations, moving my camera between the two. This resulted in the most flexible and reasonably affordable solution that fit my needs accordingly.

It was not apparent that to power a GH5s you would also need a batter adapter to fit onto the end of this. Not a solution by itself, but perhaps I'll update this review once I get the other necessary item -- an additional purchase.

This works as advertised. I have more peace of mind purchasing the official Panasonic version, which has an apparent good build quality. There are many generic, cheaper versions but some have reported effects to the camera.

I just purchased a GH5 and per Panasonics recommendation, I only use OEM batteries and accessories. Yes this is more expensive but using cheap knockoffs can and will void your warranty and for such an expensive camera, why risk it? The oem dummy battery has been on back order longer than promised so I have not yet actually used this product. From the looks of it, the build quality is amazing. Fit and finish are exactly as you would expect buying from the original manufacturer. I have complete confidence this will work perfectly when my battery comes to me.

Can someone just please clearly tell me the input and output voltage of this if B&H doesn't filter the answers so I can buy a $20 AC adapter and not get ripped off by having to spend $100 on Panasonic's?

Input voltage is 100-240V AC and output is 8.4V. Cheaper adapters with 8.4V are plentiful. BUT, you will not find a cheap adapter that has matching amperage. The DMW-AC10 is rated at an output of 2.5 amps. Cheap replacements have 2 amps or less. It still works, but I fear in the long term there may be damage either to the camera for lack of amps or to the adapter overheating while the camera tries to pull more amps than it's getting. I have the cheaper adapter, but I quit using it when being told there's a *slight* possibility of harming my GH5.

If power were interrupted the video file would not be closed. Most likely that video clip would be unreadable.
