Mystical Focus Gen 1 is a suite of 16 visual effect enhancements, including a special masking filter, allowing you to draw attention to a specific area of an image for a unique expression. It works by giving you the ability to blend realistic depth of field with selective focal brushing to create desired results. The software allows dynamic rendering and a combination of different filters in a single image. You can combine a Focal Plane with a Focal Brush effect, then add in a Panning Focus effect to a small part of the image. Sophisticated and effective brush-on / brush-off, ellipse/path, and focal mask controls help you create specialized focal effects that are fast and easy.

Upgrades/enhancements to the program since the previous version include an improved code for handling high-res images over 7000 pixels with greater stability, as well as improved high-resolution layer content used in Specular Shapes. The controls and tools in the redesigned interface are easy to use and understand, and tool-tips pop-ups offer additional information. Ready-made presets give you a simple, logical starting point, and you can even customize your own preset options.

Mystical Focus runs on Mac and Windows operating systems. It can be used as either a stand-alone program or a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Draw, or Corel Paintshop Pro.

Layer Effects Palette
Combine effects together in a single image. Simply check your layers on/off to see how the image appears with or without a particular effect in the stack. When you choose one particular layer effect to deactivate, the other layers will remain active, providing the enhancement and refinement desired.
Ready-Made and Customizable Presets
Ready-made instant presets give you a simple, logical starting point, and you can even customize your own presets for later use. Click 'Select Preset' and you are there. The new roll-over before/after preset controls display examples of how the effect will look after it's applied. Customized User Created Presets can be limited to just one effect or contain several effects stacked together.
Interface and Controls
Move the sliders to adjust and refine the effect to create that special digital enhancement. Tool-tips pop-ups offer additional information on the intuitive controls and tools. Hold your mouse over the tool and in a few seconds, and a helpful hint will give you a quick description to assist you in understanding the tool's capabilities.
Compatibility
Runs on Mac and Windows operating systems. Can be used as either a standalone program or a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Draw, or Corel Paintshop Pro. Saving in Adobe Photoshop format as a plug-in will export the effect layers into a single transparent layer in an Adobe Photoshop native document.

Atmosphere
Grain and Noise
Change an image artfully through the addition of grain and noise to achieve a desired effect, such as film imitation, an aged look, or a nostalgic feel.
Highlight Smear
Smoothly blend and smear areas within an image to draw attention to the highlights.
Highlight Streak
Adjust a tonal range control to 'pull' out highlights from an image to streak them. Use streaking to blend in the exact amount of highlight needed to create a sensational image.
Specular Highlights
Enhance your image by adjusting the lighting within it. Help bring out the focal point of the image by changing the highlights.
Specular Shapes
Draw paths across an image and cast and blend creative shapes onto it. This filter can also easily simulate a bokeh effect. Control several aspects of your creative additions to your digital images, such as color intensity and transparency. Create double refraction/reflection with light sources.
Vignette
Enhance an image by blending smooth feathered vignettes into it. Bring that classic look to an image with a creamy smooth vignette featuring numerous shapes and feather variations.
Focal Effects
Focal Brush
Selectively brush on and brush off depth-of-field focal effects. Choose from an array of focus styles and smoothly blend the effect onto an image with great accuracy. Control anything from a single pixel to the entire image in one stroke.
Focal Mask
Form dozens of creative styles of focal effects that selectively draw attention to the subject in your image. Adjust the focal mask to suit your needs and capture the precise look you want.
Focal Plane
Define the center point around which the focal plane is built, and then use the path tool to blend in various types of focal effects. Brush off the effect with ease using the palette controls.
Focal Zoom
Create a zoom-in style motion to portray movement when none is actually present. This filter is especially useful for sports and action shots.
Glamour Glow
Combine focus and highlight/shadow toning for creative looks.
Panning Focus
Gives professional in-motion style results to any image using its lasso control tool. You can cause the focal subject to pop out as the background streaks and blurs.
Radial Focus
Offers the artistic power to add a rotational blur around the subject of an image. Creatively draw attention to any point of an image by creating a curved blur with ease.
Soft Focus
Provides a nice, gradual, soft focal effect with a creamy blend. You can introduce tints and adjust the mood of the effect to get just the right look.
Tilt Shift Focus
Simulates a real-world tilt-shift focal shot. Allows you to blend and compress the focal range to center the attention towards the middle of the shot. This effect also simulates toy/model- style shots where an image is made to look like a toy or model.
