It is a great 12 x 8 printer. We have owned a 4 x 6 Hiti printer for years and love it, therefore as a gift for my wife I chose The P912L. I did expect the printer to come with paper and ribbon. An additional $200. But she loves the color quality.

I bought this for the large size of the prints. I already have a 6x8 printer from another brand, and the Hiti910L is a great addition to my printers.. The quality is very good, speed is great too... Drivers are easy to setup and use..

Do you need a special media for matte prints? or is the printer itself creating a matte finish?
Asked by: gianluca
Hello Glanluca, The regular media for your printer will do matte or lustre. On the setup page in your computer or in the app if sending from a phone/tablet there is a check box for Matte. The default is Lustre but you can easily change the default. We change the surface based upon the voltage from the print head on the final clear coat ribbon within the printer. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and Thank You for using HiTi products Regards, L Ahlman

Ivana: Does the printer itself cut the paper to the 10x15cm format (which is assigned to it)?
Asked by: Ivana
The HiTi P910L Dye-Sub Color Roll Photo Printer cannot cut a 10x15cm size. The nearest size it can cut would be 10.2x20.3cm.

Can I print on Mylar bags with this equipment

Can I print on Mylar bags with this equipment
Asked by: Nardo
Hello Nardo, Printing on any substance other than the media designated for the P910 would not be recommended and would void any service and warranty. In the printing process for dye-sublimation there is a large amount of heat generated which could melt any material not designed for the process. L Ahlman

question

Does this printer comes with paper already loaded or you will have to buy printing paper separate?
Asked by: Kenroy A.
The paper and color roll are sold seperately in a single kit. Due to the nature of dye-sub printers, a roll of color and paper will yield exactly the listed number of prints.
