    Linksys WUSB6300 reviews

    WUSB6300 Dual-Band AC1200 Wireless USB Adapter is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 170.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Using on an older laptop. Still using Win 7. I added more memory, SSD and now upgraded Wi-Fi. This laptop is good for a few more years now. I was able to move around house without losing my signal. Stayed at 4-5 bars, 5 is max. I streamed movies from Netflix and Amazon with no problems. I even took my laptop across the street to my neighbors house and it's about 120 yards away. Inside his house I still picked up my Wi-Fi. Now I live in a ruhl area, and my router is hi up on a desk by a window, but I still got 1-2 bars. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on Amazon, but I did not have any problems at all. Setup up was easy and fast. The only complaint I have, is sticking out from laptop. I wish it had a right angle on it, to point up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good alternate to slower built in wi-fi This is a great alternate if one has an old laptop with 300Mbps limit. I have Netgear R6300 AC1750 router that supposed to support up to 1300Mbps. It was consistently connecting with 867Mbps on 5GHz band. Download speed was ranged from 100Mbps to ~190Mbps compare to ~110-120Mbps using built-in. However, it is not a replacement for 1Gbps wired connection that downloads above 600Mbps. I was hoping it would be as fast as wired or close to. There may be compatibility issue with Windows 7. Installed on 2 Win 7 PCs and both crashed. It worked find after the reboot however. It did not crash Win 10 PC however. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest USB adapter I have ever installed I received a free sample of this adapter for writing an honest review of the product. I was always having problems connecting my laptop to the wireless network. Disabled the built in and plugged in the new one. It was recognized right away and self installed. It found my network right away and connected almost as fast as my wired connection. I haven't lost signal or connection for over a week now. Great improvement from my built in adapter. Can connect from a much further distance than the built in version. Outstanding speed and very easy to use. Just love it. Thanks for reading my post. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast! I received this Linksys WUSB6300 AC1200 Wireless-AC USB Adapter through the Linksys friends+family program. I previously had my built-in N adapter and then purchased an AC-3200 router and a USB AC-600 mini adapter, which was a big improvement. This adapter is super fast. The speed increase is awesome. Installation was fast and easy. The only thing that I don't like about it is the size. It sticks out from the side of my laptop almost 3 inches. I need to take care when moving my computer and usually remove it to prevent damage. I would love to have one with this speed in a mini size. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overcomes barriers I am using a Linksys WRT1900AC router that is located on the first floor of my home. The computer that I have installed the AC1200 on is located in a small office in the furtherist corner of the second floor of my home. The signal has to travel through brick walls and a plaster ceiling. I have 25 mbps of broadband from my cable provider. The install was quick and simple using the included CD. I am running Windows 10. Using a network speed test, I am getting 8.45 mbps download speed on the 5GHz band and 19.85 mbps speed on the 2.4 GHz band. This is a room where I could barely get any Wifi signal on a new Ipad. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In the fast lane now! I was thinking of upgrading the wireless adapter on my laptop to take full advantage of my upgraded internet service. The standard one in the laptop worked fine, but after installing the Linksys adapter I am getting download speeds in the upper 80mbps now vs the mid 20's I was getting before. What a difference! My only concern is the adapter is on the larger side and sticks out quite a bit from the laptop so it's something I'll have to pay attention to when handling it. Aside from that, the speed difference far outweighs the size concern. Please note, I received this product free from Linksys in exchange for my honest review of the product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality I installed this on a 7 year old Sony Vaio win 7 OS. It installed flawlessly with good operation in less than five minutes including the check for updates during install. I am connected to a Linksys AC1200 Max Range Extender and achieving 780 Mbps on the average. I'm sure I could tweak the range ext settings to have more, but why change what is working well. This would also be good for a Desktop for an upgrade to a wireless connection. It connects well on boot up. I have not had any drop outs as of yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked good for about 3 weeks I bought this product a couple months ago and was very pleased and getting fast internet until just a couple weeks after purchase I turn my computer on and it is unable to find an Internet connection so I tried trouble shooting it ( this has happened before ) and after it was done "resolving" the problems, the lights on the usb drive shut off and now will no longer work?!?! Waste of money! I run the linksys program to try and reset it up and it won't detect the usb anymore.. Stupidly I bought another one and it did the same thing a couple weeks later.
