Dracast DLS-805 Reviews
Unexpectedly amazing
I got this 5 years ago in a Dracast kit. I had no idea how great of a value this stand was until I tried to replace it recently. It survived 5 years of heavy use and frequent travel with rough baggage handling on airlines - and it's the ONLY stand I have that is light, able to travel in a normal sized suitcase AND have a huge soft box on it without constantly having to worry that it's going to topple over. Is it a C-stand? Not even remotely close. Is it better than any other stand I have for its purpose? Surprisingly, yes. (Even a $100 carbon fiber stand I just got that promised the moon, but in the field didn't perform as well as this one.)
It's Portable
I use this in a portable portrait lighting kit I take on location. It is light weight, retracts to less than 30 to easily fit in my bag and is plenty sturdy enough to hold my studio light and modifier.
