The HC90 LED Head Lamp from Nitecore is a multi-output hands-free light useful for hiking, caving, and other activities requiring a waterproof high-output light. It provides a maximum output of 900 lumens and when in low mode has a maximum runtime of 200 hours. Output levels are adjusted by a slide switch controllable with one hand. Blue, green and red secondary LED lights are also supported.
In addition to a strong uni-body anodized aluminum housing, the HC90 features a 173º tilt capability, wide-beam optics, a curved bracket for comfort and an adjustable nylon head strap. An integrated Micro-USB port with charging indicator light enables easy charging in as fast as 6 hours. The head lamp runs on one 18650 battery or two CR123 batteries. A double cooling system provides safer and more consistent operation. Reverse polarity protection is supported and gold-plated circuits prevent oxidation and improve efficiency.
The HC90 is water resistant in accordance with the IPX8 standard, submersible up to 6.6'. It is also shock resistant to a fall from 5' and can be removed from the headband, placed sideways and used for area illumination.
