The FD-900S Intercom Base Station by NIPROS is to build a multi-operator talkback system for multi-camera setups. It can be used when shooting videos for applications such as broadcast TV, stage, theater, houses of worship, and more. To help you communicate to individual camera operators, the wired base station features a built-in speaker and microphone input. It has five group outputs, and each group can have 8 units of FD-400 beltpacks (sold separately) connected using BNC cables. It allows a director to communicate to each camera operator separately or as a group in 2-way conversations.
The FD-900S limit for the BNC cables is a total of 1640' (500m), so the distance depends on the number of beltpacks connected. The FD-900S has tally/call output to each group and also powers each beltpack. In addition, program audio mixing can be mixed to each group selected. The FD900S base station is a good professional choice for an intercom and tally system, providing communication when using multiple cameras simultaneously.
