Nipros PS-270S-PAC Optical Fiber Handheld Camera Adapter & Base Station Package with Sony & LANC Remote Connectors

The Nipros PS-270S-PAC Optical Fiber Handheld Camera Adapter & Base Station Package with Sony & LANC Remote Connectors is an optical fiber system for professional Sony handheld camcorders. Featuring the PS-270S Optical Fiber Camera Adapter and PS-570S Optical Fiber Base Station, the system transfers HD/SD-SDI input and return signals, as well as Tally, Time Code, intercom, and other essential camera signals, between your camera and the Base Station up to 1.24 miles using a hybrid optical/electrical fiber cable.

The PS-270S Camera Adapter mounts underneath your camcorder via a 1/4"-20 screw. A variety of connections are available, including an HD/SD-SDI video input, return component and composite video input, genlock output, and time code input/output. Additionally, there are 8-pin Sony and LANC remote controls ports, whose signals are also transferred to the PS-570S for remote camera control from the Base Station.

All of the input signals sent from your camera to the PS-270S are then passed to the Base Station via a SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber cable. The cable is also used to power the PS-270S via using 12 VDC from the Base Station. To power external accessories, such as the optional Nipros LVM-89W 8.9" LCD monitor, the PS-270S has a 12 VDC 4-pin XLR DC output. There is also a 6-pin Hirose monitor interface port for passing power to the monitor, as well as accepting tally signals sent from the PS-570S to the PS-270S via a hybrid optical fiber cable, with both units providing built-in tally indicator lights. For communication from the base station operator to the camera operator, the PS-570S and PS-270S have a built-in intercom system, with each unit featuring XLR ports for connecting intercom headsets.

The PS-570S Base Station features a SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber connector, as well as two HD/SD-SDI outputs, an HD/SD-SDI return, time code input/output, and tally input/output. It also provides Sony 8-pin and LANC remote control ports. The PS-570S is packaged in a compact 1.5 RU half-rack size for easy installation, even in limited-space production areas.

Note: A SMPTE 304M hybrid optical fiber cable is required to connect the PS-270S to PS-570S.
