    Transcend JetDrive Lite 130 reviews

128GB JetDrive Lite 130 Flash Expansion Card is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice for extending HD space! The Transcend Jet Drive Flash expansion card was the ultimate fix for my Macbook Air. It added 128GB of space, and is accessible as any hard drive out there when it comes to accessing speed. Great for storing back ups, or system restores, or in my case, a direct transfer for iTunes movies and music so they don't weigh down the system hard drive. It took me little time to find an available fix for what I was looking for, and B&H search utility made it very simple to find. I like this site, although I didn't realize it was a dedicated computer site. If you are into photography, I suggest you check out this site!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Way to Add More Memory to a Macbook Air This is a very useful device and well worth the money. It slots into the SDXC card slot on the right of the Macbook Air, and sits nearly flush with the housing, so it's nearly invisible. It's a great way of storing a second copy of important files on the computer itself without having to worry about attaching an external flashdrive. And, the 128 gb significantly increases storage capacity. Recommended. Transfer speeds are more than ample for documents and photos, though I wouldn't use it to transfer large, complicated files like audio projects that require streaming the data.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! I purchased one of these for a 2011 13 MacBook Air. It fits perfectly flush with the SD slot and is fast enough if you set it up properly.A few things to do (from online forums and confirmed by me):1) Use Disk Utility to format the drive as Mac OS Extended - Journaled (HFS+). The drive is very slow if you stick with the default exFAT file system.2) Download and install Transcend's JetDrive Toolbox (backup utilities and auto-mounts the drive after waking from sleep... also prevents battery drain) - some people have complained about Mavericks compatibility, but v1.8 of the toolbox seems to work well with Mountain Lion.I used symbolic links to point the iTunes folder and iPhoto Library to the JetDrive. This also works well for the mobile backups folders (for your iPhone, iPad, etc.) if you are running low on space on your main drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Solution for My MacBook Air Mid 2011 Exactly what i needed and was hoping for. Easy to install (just insert into slot). Fast, plenty of space - avoided the need to expand internal hard drive and all that hassle. Was easy to move my huge iTunes library to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Perfect Although it does need to be formatted to a mac os only format to take full advantage of it, its a great product. Fits perfect on my MBA. Extra 128 gb for less than $.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You wouldn't know it was there! I use this to back up important files when I am travelling and away from my Time Machine. Its always there, unobtrusive and FAST! Thoroughly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as advertised I use this for my early-2015 128GB MBA which thankfully still has the SD card slot. I'm the type that uses my laptop on the go often which results in it going to sleep several times throughout the day. I've never had any issues with it needing to be popped out and back in so this issue that others have mentioned must have been resolved. It works just like another external storage drive, appears on my desktop, and is a location where I can save my docs/media directly. It doesn't sit absolutely flush, it juts out by maybe 1-1.5mm which is basically nothing though so I don't notice it at all and doubt there is ever a chance that it can get caught and pulled out. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this product, it functions for me exactly as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect accessory. Fast. You need it. Makes great use of the card reader I never touch. Fitment is nearly flush. Looks hard to get out but I don't think I'll ever need to. Transfer rate is fast. The space is a luxury on the my 256GB i7 MBA, the extra 128GB makes the world of difference with my triple boot. I didn't have to reformat it either and with FAT, I can easily transfer files between Ubuntu/Win7/OSX and have files at hand on any OS I'm using. I haven't tried to run an OS from the jetdrive yet but I'm confident it would run fine for most simple tasks.
