What is the actual length of this holder? The 5.95" listed seems too long.

My 12 AA pack holder (double stack) is 4.0" x 1.4" x 2.15". My 4 AA pack holder (single stack) is 2.7" x .75" x 2.15"

It doesn't seem to have a cover can the batteries fall out?
Asked by: Dennis
No, it's a pretty tight fit. We have a few of these that roll around inside pelican cases and a battery has never come loose.

question

I use P-Touch labels to mark (and match) sets of AA batteries. Will this holder work with AA's that have a label wrapped around their circumference, or will it be too tight to fit?
Asked by: Chris
I’ve labeled mine with a brother labeler (unsure which model) and its workable if you’re really careful when getting them in and out every time... but it’s a hassle. It is very tight and ended up tearing the paper labels and messing up the thicker plastic ones after a few normal uses, so I quit using the labeler.

question

Is it possible that a battery in this case will be short-circuited if the case comes into contact with a metallic object such as a bunch of keys? Or does the construction of the case prevent that?
Asked by: Till
No, short-circuiting of batteries in this case is virtually impossible as the tips are recessed, and batteries are held snugly in place.
