The P553 55" Full HD Display features a bright screen with 700 cd/m2 maximum brightness and 4000:1 contrast ratio. Thanks to the SPVA panel, the display features a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178°. The video inputs include DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA.
The on-board Near Field Communication (NFC) sensor, in combination with the NEC Android app, allows using an NFC-capable smartphone to preconfigure the display prior to installation. In addition, the app can be used to read relevant information such as serial numbers and a log files that can be emailed and analyzed. This makes failure reporting convenient and cost effective.
The display supports video daisy chaining up to 100 units via DisplayPort loop-through capability. The Proof of Play feature confirms that paid content was actually displayed. In addition, the Auto Tile Matrix feature allows for auto setup of video wall via DP and LAN daisy chain.
The OPS-DRD Digital Media Player is powered by the Android 4.2.2 OS and 2GB dual-channel RAM. It features a built-in Wi-Fi adapter, SD card slot, support for wired LAN, 8GB of flash storage, and 2 USB ports.
