we have been using savage products for a few decades. a great value and serviceable. ordered 4 new collapsible's to replace old worn out ones. The steel must be of lessor quality. They became sprung in 2 uses and are not useable for clients (you can get them to work with multiple stands and duct tape). If you are properly charging for your services....presentation and final product matter. (2 chairs holding down backdrop stands; because the bow would pull them over; and duct tape holding sides and bottom)

good usable background

Good background but with several issues. When attached to a center stand it doesn't stay open flat but slightly curved at corners. Also the texture of the material shows if you place subject close to the background and close down a few stops. Makes photo unusable in my work. I have also had to drape a black curtain on the backside if any brightness behind.

Be aware that is same color in both sides.

The color of each side are almost the same dark gray, there is not light gray side. I'm giving 5 stars because when I returned it, B&H reimbursed me the shipping fee. Great customer service!

Be careful of lack of care in description of the products as you order a product and when it comes to you it is different color and when you return it, they subtract the amount for the return shipment. At the end you do not have the product and you pay for their mistakes.

I use this backdrop almost daily. It folds up easily, overall quality is good and Savage has improved the storage bag which is much appreciated. Unfortunately when expanded out, the backdrop will not stay flat. The backdrop curves so much it can be difficult to light it evenly. The curves also make the backdrop take up more real estate when setup on location.  I'm sure with some C-stands, sandbags and super clamps I could get the backdrop straight, but I am usually working solo and cannot travel with all that. I spoke to Savage customer service for help. The rep was great and exchanged my backdrop for a new one. Unfortunately, when I received the new backdrop it had the same problems. Oh well - not the end of the world, but definitely annoying.

Nice gray backdrop for self tapes

This is a backdrop I use in my self tape studio. I purchased this in the larger size so that it is easier to tape taller people. The color is perfect, but when this product arrived, the frame was a bit bent so when I hung the backdrop on my stand, it was curved on the sides. Also, the light gray side was very wrinkled when it arrived. I folded the backdrop the opposite way from the way it arrived so that will hopefully correct the curvature in the frame, so it will hang straight.

The Savage Collapsible/Reversible Background (5 x 6', Spring Essence) is manufactured from high-quality, non-reflective cotton that eliminates glare. You may use a garment steamer to eliminate wrinkles quickly and easily, and the item is easy to clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth.

The Specifications tab states the Savage Collapsible/Reversible Background (5 x 6', Dark/Light Gray) weighs 6 lbs (2.7 kg). The packaging when shipped would weigh 6.55 lbs (2.97 kg).
