    Buffalo LS220D0802 reviews

8TB LinkStation 220 Personal Cloud Storage NAS Drive is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not very easy to configure! This device comes configured with Raid, which can limit storage to 4 TB of the 8 available. For a non-technical person, this might cause problems (but then, that might be exactly what is desired for data recovery). Luckily, I'm not one of those. Also, I'm running Windows 10 which causes issue with SMB1 and SMB2. Again, not very user friendly on how to solve. In fact, I had to get instructions from the support group to resolve. And initial loading is painfully slow, even with a USB source connected. I wasn't able to figure out the best way to use Direct Copy, so reverted to the old Windows copy instead. But even with these issues, I like the device. It does offer several configuration options, so have at it. I decided to use Raid0 where I can use all 8 TB. I wasn't looking for data backup options beyond having sufficient space!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value set-up was not as easy as it could have been. I used the iPhone version of set-up. The instructions were not at all intuitive.
